What is? Eco4 Funding
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) is a UK Government-backed scheme designed to help households reduce energy bills, improve home comfort, and lower carbon emissions by funding free or heavily subsidised energy-saving improvements.
At Efficient Energy Homes Ltd, we help eligible residents and landlords access ECO4 funding, assess properties, and manage the entire retrofit process—from start to finish-with full compliance under PAS 2035 and TrustMark standards.
Who Can Apply for ECO4?
ECO4 is open to multiple tenure types, including:
Owner-Occupied Homes
If you own your home and receive qualifying benefits or live in a property with a low EPC rating, you may be eligible for fully funded upgrades.
Private Rented Properties
Landlords can apply for funding to improve the energy performance of their rental properties, especially where tenants receive qualifying benefits. Minimum EPC rules apply.
Shared Ownership
Households under shared ownership arrangements may qualify for funding support—provided eligibility criteria and EPC requirements are met.
Social Housing
Registered Providers and tenants in social housing properties with low EPC bands (E, F, or G) may qualify for full or partial funding to improve home energy efficiency.
What Measures Can ECO4 Fund?
ECO4 supports a whole-house approach, meaning a package of improvements tailored to the specific needs of your home. These may include:
- External or Internal Wall Insulation
- Loft or Roof Insulation
- Underfloor Insulation
- Draught-proofing & Airtightness
- Air Source Heat Pumps
- Solar PV & Battery Storage
- Smart Heating Controls
- Ventilation Upgrades
How We Help – The Efficient Energy Homes Ltd Process
We guide you through every step of your ECO4 journey:
1. Check Your Eligibility
We assess whether you or your tenants qualify for funding (based on income, EPC rating, benefits, and property type).
2. Free Property Assessment
A qualified Retrofit Assessor will visit your home to carry out an energy, condition, occupancy, and ventilation survey—required under PAS 2035.
3. Retrofit Coordination
We create a whole-house improvement plan, coordinate all technical elements, and ensure all measures are risk-managed and compliant.
4. Connect to Accredited Installers
We hand over the plan to a fully TrustMark-registered PAS 2030 installer to carry out the work.
5. TrustMark Lodgement & Handover
We lodge the completed project into the TrustMark Data Warehouse for audit and funding release, ensuring full transparency and compliance.
